Please visit our DOCTORS page for information regarding their individual interests.
Chronic Disease Management
Our doctors will create an individual management plan which incorporates all providers involved in your health care. It encourages a holistic approach to the management of chronic diseases.
Book an appointment with one of our Doctors to get your Chronic Disease Management plan implemented or reviewed.
Skin Cancer Checks
Every year in Australia:
- Skin cancers account for around 80% of all newly diagnosed cancers
- Between 95-99% of skin cancers are caused by exposure to the sun
- The incidence of skin cancer is one of the highest in the world, two to three times the rates in Canada, the US, and the UK.
These are predominately suturing of lacerations, removal of suspicious skin lesions, minor skin grafts, cryotherapy, abscess drainage, treatments of cysts, IUD and Implanon.
We provide all childhood vaccines. Your doctor can advise on the recommended immunisation in line with the NSW Immunisation Schedule. Your child’s health will be checked prior to any vaccines being given. We also provide annual Influenza and Pneumococcal vaccines to eligible patients.
Point of Care Testing
At Bay Medical Group we provide diabetes point of care testing and a faster result for our patients.
All our Doctors offer support and encouragement for a healthy lifestyle and perform investigations such as blood tests, ECG onsite tests, and blood pressure checks.
We also provide 24hr Cardiac Holter Monitor tests. This device is used to track your ECG for 24hrs while you go about your usual activities. One of our nurses will fit the device for you and the readings will be sent to a cardiologist to be reported on. The cardiologist report will then be reviewed by your GP.
We run Flu Vaccine Clinics every year around May. We are limited to only provide appointments when we have the stock and this depends on when the Government releases these vaccines in any particular region.
Patients eligible for a free vaccine:
- All Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months +
- All children aged 6 months to less than 5 years
- Pregnant women
- Medically at-risk patients (e.g. asthma, lung or heart disease, diabetes, low immunity)
- All people aged 65 and over.
The above criteria is subject to change
Home Health Assessments
Health Assessments are available for patients aged 75 and over who are living at home. A friendly member of our nursing staff will visit you at home once per year to complete the assessment. The nurse will then report back to your GP and you will be contacted to make an appointment to discuss the findings.
